What to Expect

When you arrive at Omega Beauty, we’ll walk through your goals and choose the spray tan solution that best fits your skin, your schedule, and the look you’re going for. After your application, you’ll simply wait until it’s time to rinse: Express solutions rinse in 2–4 hours, while Standard solutions require a full 12‑hour development.

You’re welcome to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable — just keep in mind that tan lines will develop exactly as they appear during your session. We’ll guide you through a few quick, easy postures and finish with a gentle fan‑dry. The entire appointment takes about 15–20 minutes, including light contouring and shading.

After your session, avoid water, sweating, and tight clothing until your rinse time. Your color will continue to develop over the next 24 hours and typically lasts 7–10 days with proper care. To keep your glow smooth and even, moisturize daily with a mineral‑oil‑free lotion.

If you’re scheduling a trial tan for your wedding or a special event, we recommend booking it at least two weeks in advance to ensure the perfect match.

Pre-Tan Prep

For the best results, schedule your spray tan 1–2 days before your event. All sessions are by appointment only. Prep the night before by showering, shaving, and exfoliating with a mitt and a gentle body wash (avoid Dove and bar soaps). Wash your hair first, then exfoliate, and finish with a light lotion (no oils). If you prep the night before, you won’t need to prep again the day of. If you’re prepping same day, rinse shaved areas with cold water, skip deodorant, and only apply lotion if it’s been at least four hours before your appointment. Plan to complete waxing, lash extensions, nails, and hair 1–2 days before your tan so nothing interferes with your color. Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment—no leggings or tight jeans. Flip‑flops or slides are ideal. If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, please check with your doctor before booking. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and wear undergarments during the session.

Post-Tan Prep

Your tan continues to develop for 24 hours. Standard tans need a 12+ hour wait before rinsing, while Express tans can be rinsed in 2–4 hours. During your first rinse, you’ll see the bronzer wash away, totally normal. Use water only, no soap.
After the full 24‑hour development window, switch to a gentle, oil‑free body wash and use your hands instead of loofahs, scrubs, or bar soaps (especially Dove). Pat dry and moisturize daily with a mineral‑oil‑free lotion to keep your color even and long‑lasting.
Skip workouts until after your rinse. If you’re sleeping in your tan, wear loose, long clothing. Some bronzer may transfer; most fabrics wash clean, but avoid silk, leather, and wool. Laying a towel down can help protect bedding or furniture.
Before your next appointment, exfoliate thoroughly so your new tan goes on smooth and even.
